CyberLeek posts daily footage a week before Rockstar’s showcase

A series of clips attributed to a group signing itself CyberLeek has been circulating on social media for several days. Trade outlets are covering it — among them GamesIndustry.biz, Kotaku, Polygon, PC Gamer and Mashable — and the wave lands in the week before Rockstar’s announced showcase on 27 August.

We do not show the material and we do not point to where it is hosted. What follows is only what the press reports.

What the press reports

• The group is said to be publishing new clips daily and has signalled it will continue (GamesIndustry.biz, citing IGN).
• The most recent material is reported to suggest access to a playable build, rather than to individual files (Kotaku).
• Rockstar Games has not confirmed the authenticity of any of the clips (Kotaku).
• Some commentators argue the footage may be more than a year old (Kotaku).

That is the full extent of what established newsrooms are reporting. Everything beyond it — scene descriptions, conclusions about the game’s content, claims about the map — circulates without confirmation and does not go on this page.

The December 2023 precedent

GamesIndustry.biz recalls a situation from three years ago: the first GTA VI trailer leaked a day before its scheduled premiere, and Rockstar responded by publishing it earlier than planned. It is the only known case of the studio changing its schedule because of a leak.

Whether it repeats now is unknown. The "An Extended Look" showcase has an announced date and two premiere times, which we cover separately in An Extended Look.

Why we do not rule on it

This section collects reports and points to where they circulate. It does not rule on whether they are true — an honest ruling would require either confirmation from Rockstar or watching material we have no intention of distributing.

What remains certain is only what comes from official channels: release on 19 November 2026, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, two editions, and the 27 August showcase. We keep the full list in officially confirmed facts.
