How to submit a point on the GTA 6 map — the POI form step by step
The POI submission form on GTA 6 Space lets anyone add a point of interest to the interactive map of Leonida, the fictional state in GTA VI. No account is required. The process is simple, but a few rules decide whether a submission becomes visible.
The POI submission form on GTA 6 Space lets anyone add a point of interest to the interactive map of Leonida, the fictional state in GTA VI. No account is required. The process is simple, but a few rules decide whether a submission becomes visible.
How the POI submission form works
The form asks for a name, a category, coordinates, and an optional description. You fill them in and send. The submission is saved with a pending status and waits for manual editorial review. The description is optional in the form, but in practice it often decides acceptance. A name and coordinates alone do not tell the editor where the place comes from. Write which official material showed it and at what timestamp, for example “second trailer, 0:47”.
Before using the form, it helps to understand how to use the interactive GTA 6 map.
Five categories of points on the map of Leonida
The form uses a closed list of five categories: mission, activity, shop, safehouse, and collectible. Nothing outside that list passes validation. The split is deliberately coarse because before release it is not possible to confirm whether a place will turn out to be a shop, a safehouse, or a backdrop for one scene.
What data the form accepts and what it rejects
Validation happens on the server, so a malformed submission never reaches the database. The name must meet length limits. The category must come from the closed list. Coordinates must fall inside the area the map renders. The simplest way to avoid this: do not type numbers by hand, just click the spot on the interactive map of Leonida.
Pending and rejected submissions are not public and do not count towards that total.
What happens after you send a submission
After sending, a message appears on the page. That is the only confirmation. The form collects no email address, so no notification of acceptance or rejection is sent. There is no declared turnaround time; a human reviews submissions when time allows. To check whether a point was approved, look at the map. If an approved point contains an error, use the contact form rather than the POI form.
Why we reject points from leaks
Points based on leaks are rejected without exception, no matter how convincing they look. The portal describes only what Rockstar Games published itself: the official game page, the “Only in Leonida” section, Newswire posts, and the official video gallery. Unauthorised material is not evidence, even when it circulates widely. This makes the map grow more slowly, but every approved point can be traced to a specific scene from material the portal is allowed to cite.
